HARRODS CREEK FIELD & STREAM CLUB
BUILDS BLUEBIRD BOXES
Each year members of the Harrods Creek Field & Stream Club build approximately 80 to 100 bluebird boxes for donation to the Salato Center. The Salato Center sales of our Bluebird boxes help to support the Salato Center which in turn helps provide its many visitors the opportunity to witness and interact with the variety of different types of wildlife that make the Salato Center home.
Typically, we hold the building sessions at David O'Neil's garage on a Sunday usually in mid to late February. Building activities usually take about 3 to 4 hours based upon the number of club members that show up. The blanks for the boxes get cut out by a small group of members on Saturday. Contact our club President, Kent Cooper, if you would like to participate.
