 FAMILY FISHING DAY

  Family Fishing Day---Saturday, May 13th

HCFS’s Family Fishing Day will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 8:00 a.m. (or earlier if you are so inclined) to 1:00 p.m. at David O’Neil’s property at 2109 Johnson Road. This is a great opportunity to bring out the entire family to enjoy a casual few hours of fishing. The main focus is to make sure that the kids have a great time "wetting a line." The last several years have been a really enjoyable time for both kids and adults. In the past years, Elizabeth Sullivan has pulled a 5-lbs+ bass out of the "bluegill" pond after catching a small bluegill and unintentionally using it as bait for the large monster, and two years ago, Art Gunst caught a similar sized grass carp…so anything is possible! So, come on out, bring the kids and their friends and enjoy the fun!!!

2006 League of Kentucky Sportsmen Annual Convention---June 10th, 11th & 12th

The 2006 LKS Annual Convention---Holiday Inn, Hurstbourne Lane, Louisville, Kentucky. HCFS Delegates are Dan Sesit and Alex Lea. Contact a club officer for additional information on attending.

Catfish Derby---June 23rd-25th

Yes…it is that time again…the Annual HCFS Catfish Derby will be held on June 23rd, 24th and 25th (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). Further reminders will be coming out in the May and June editions of the ‘Creeker Gazette, but fishing will begin at the Westport, Kentucky Hollowed Grounds at 12:00 noon on Friday and end on Sunday, at 12:00 noon. The time for the clean-up of the Hollowed Grounds, to be done on June 19th starting at 9:00 am. So, please come out and help for an hour or two so we can make this another great Derby! Of course, all is dependent upon the river conditions, so we will keep everyone posted if there is any delay due to a rising (or descending) Ohio River.
